The eProcurement system was updated over the weekend. This update impacted the email notifications approvers see in the system. We are working with the company to correct these emails but have not yet achieved 100% success. The impacts:

  • Some emails are from support@sciquest.com instead of purchasing@denison.edu.
  • The email has two links: a Take Action link and a View Requisition Approvals link.
  • The Take Action link takes you to a mobile site and asks the user for a four-digit code. This option will not work for Denison users.
  • Denison users should select the View Requisition Approvals or View Invoice Approvals button.
  • If you have trouble reaching your approval queue from the email link, you can approve directly within the eProcurement system by clicking on their action items using the flag icon in the top right corner of the screen.

The Internal Revenue Service today warned of an ongoing IRS-impersonation scam that appears to primarily target educational institutions, including students and staff who have “.edu” email addresses.

The IRS’ phishing@irs.gov has received complaints about the impersonation scam in recent weeks from people with email addresses ending in “.edu.” The phishing emails appear to target university and college students from both public and private, profit and non-profit institutions.

Taxpayers who believe they have a pending refund can easily check on its status at Where’s My Refund? on IRS.gov.

The suspect emails display the IRS logo and use various subject lines such as “Tax Refund Payment” or “Recalculation of your tax refund payment.” It asks people to click a link and submit a form to claim their refund.

ITS is planning to perform maintenance on the server hosting employee PERSONAL network drives (U:) on Thursday 3/25/21 between 6:00am and 6:30am. There will be a short outage for the above network drive and employee printing while the server is rebooted to complete the maintenance. Please do not update files stored on the network file servers during this time period.

You may see a message with the headline “Get the latest Office features now” in Word, Excel or PowerPoint. (This will appear only if you are an administrator on the Denison device you are using.) If you see the below prompt you can click on the Update… button within the message and the Office installation will switch to Current Channel and you will receive future updates sooner.
